POSITION: Electrical Design Engineers

COMPANY: APC India Pvt Ltd

REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager

KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Manufacturing NPD support, WW design team

MAIN PURPOSE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Electrical engineering positions in product development team responsible for creating high value UPS, DC Rectifier, Power Supply solutions for customers worldwide.

Lead the complex design and analysis of new circuits and systems, including feasibility studies. Plan and support pcb assembly design, sub-system and system level testing, release to manufacturing and quality volume objectives of product development process.

Analyze customer, compliance (safety, EMC), and manufacturing requirements to design, analyze, prototype, test and document new analog and digital circuits necessary to develop the new product. Select, specify, qualify and document components necessary to implement design. Lead all FMEA and WCA analysis. Analyze circuits designs using SPICE or other tools necessary to perform worse case analysis. Plan and support sub-system and system design verification testing. Support product development team to release product to manufacturing and meet quality volume goals. Design and develop manufacturing test process as part of new product development activities. Train technical support staff.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualification : BE, ME/M.Tech., Ph.D

Experience : Positions open for candidates with 2-15 years.

Essential design experience and knowledge:

  • Product Design Experience: Power Supply Design, UPS Systems, Drives,SMRs
  • Experience and strong design knowledge of PFC converters, Inverters, Devices, Gate Drive design
  • Experience in Magnetics design - Low and High Frequency Transformers, Inductors, CTs, PTs etc
  • Experience and strong design knowledge of Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OPamps etc
  • Knowledge of Loop design, Gain and Phase Margins, Stability analysis etc
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Power Supplies and/or UPS products
  • Knowledge of PCB Layouts
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience using Software analysis tools (for example P-spice, Saber, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • Knowledge of Quality tools (6-Sigma, Minitab, etc)

JOBS: Test Equipment Engineering (Software/Hardware Design)

Position- Test Equipment Engineering (Software/Hardware Design) - Immediate

Experience- 1.8 to 8.5 years

Qualification- BE / B.Tech / M.Tech

Location- Electronic City, Bangalore

Responsibilities:
Design, Development and Configuration of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for complex systems\sub-systems, simulation and control system environments
LabVIEW ® proficiency (Desirable certifications include CLAD,CLD,CLA)
Familiarity with National Instruments hardware
Communication protocols (GPIB, RS-232/485) and platforms (PCI, PXI)
dSPACE®, Python, Matlab® (Simulink®) knowledge
Analogl & digital electronics, controls and instrumentation knowledge
Aircraft systems/sub-system testing verification and validationl environments
Knowledge of Aircraft Actuation systems is an added advantage

JOBS: Opening for ECU Designer

ECU Design Engineer

Function / Purpose of Position / Mission:

An ECU design engineer develops and tests circuitries on PCBs for use in automotive environment. He or she is not considered to be the expert of specific circuit-blocks, but he or she knows, how to compose several complex electronic modules together and how to make a working circuitry from it. For this reason he or she perfectly handles the design- and layout tools and knows the design process within Continental. He or She is as well able to support layout, automatic testing and manufacturing lines.


Goals:

Design of ECU Electronics. Reuse and integrate available modules as far as any possible. Design specific analog or digital circuits fulfilling automotive requirements, where no common design is available.

• Create schematics consisting of complex electronic circuitries using ASICs and embedded microcontrollers

• Ensure design compliance to specification

• Develop the electronic concept in coordination with mechanical design, manufacturing and quality requirements

• Create relevant production deliverables including Bill of Material, schematics, component placement and test specifications

• Perform and create design FMEA

• Create relevant design deliverables including EMC test plan, worst case analyses, customer target specification, test specifications, EBOM, Schematics, Block diagrams, HW/SW interface document, sub-circuit design documentation as well as validation plan for laboratory testing

• Select and test new electronic components

• Support layout of PCB

• Perform design verification and worst case analysis

• Planning, documentation and organization of development processes

• Generate HW timing plan, design resource planning

• Perform EMC verification, prototype builds and component releases in ECDM

• Evaluate and resolve internal or external engineering change requests.

• Creation and maintenance of design documents and design files

• Follow and apply worldwide quality manual and procedures


Education: B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech in Electronics or equivalent


Experience:

2-4 years practical experience (where applicable) in an automotive design/development department

• Good experience with electronics circuit design and good knowledge of electronics circuits behaviour.

• Good experience with laboratory- and measurement equipment (DSO,

waveform generators, ...)

• Good experience in product design and manufacturing technologies
